At Seedfield Methodist we love helping our children grow in getting to know God better. We want to show the children what it means to live a Christ-like life and for them to be excited about the Christian faith and being part of church.
From birth to 16 years our children and young people are full of energy and good ideas and we have lots of fun living out faith together.
We meet together on Sunday morning, at the same time as the church services, and have a family service on the 5th Sunday of the month, should that occur. The children enjoy all kinds of activities as they learn and express their faith. We follow a Ready, Steady Go! plan where a theme is explored for a month or two. We do this by learning from the Bible, (Ready), preparing together resources or activities that arise from our topic, (Steady) and finish off by taking part in a related activity, (Go!).
We have adapted all this while the church building is closed. We make a start on Sunday mornings as families gather via Zoom and we continue doing more in our homes during the week. We keep in touch and share ideas and photos of the activities on our What’s App group.
Amongst lots of other things, we always love to get outside and into the community and have done various challenges and activities. During lockdown this has also helped us still to feel connected.
