Missionaries Rosalind and Steven Bagwell
For the past 30+ years, Steve and Ros have been serving with Wycliffe Bible Translators and are currently based at JAARS in North Carolina USA. (JAARS is a partner organisation.)
Rosalind was brought up in Bury and in her youth attended Seedfield Methodist Church where she became a Christian. She responded to God’s call on her life to work in Bible translation. She met her husband, Steve, who hails from California, whilst on orientation in Cameroon. The worked together in Chad and Kenya for many years before their move to the U.S.
Steve is part of a software development team that creates and maintains web applications to help the organisation as a whole work more effectively.
Ros works in the Accounting Department as the Assistant Accounts Receivables Coordinator and one afternoon a week in the JAARS Boutique (donated items).
There are still 2000 languages without even a New Testament so there is much work left to do."
