REV'D SHARON READ
Our minister Sharon, has been signed off on sick leave for 4 weeks with cluster tension.
During this period please avoid making contact with Sharon. If you need a minister then John Ilsley should be your first point of contact – 01204883327. On general church issues you can contact Brian Sharples-07753419867.
Please uphold Sharon in your prayers during her period of recovery. I will keep you informed of any progress reports.
Brian Sharples, Senior steward.
Please hold the Bury Circuit in your prayers as we begin conversations about submitting a profile for Presbyterial Minister to join the circuit team in September 2019 and for our minister Sharon as she begins her preparations for submitting her profile. Some members of the Leadership Team are meeting shortly to think through our part of the profile. Stationing Matching takes place early November 2018.
Please ensure that ALL room bookings are made via Sherryl Harrison and confirmed if it is an event taking place.
All baptisms, weddings and funerals to be booked FIRST with Rev Sharon Read who will make the necessary arrangements.
Please ask the relevant person before borrowing and removing any equipment from the building.
After all meetings, events and services, please ensure everything is tidied away and clean. All room users should have recently received a similar letter regarding the care of the building.
On the 22nd, 23rd and 24th October we are hosting our Messy Church Fun Club. This is the third time we’ve run one and the first two have been a real success; we’ve seen nearly 100 people from our community taking part and hearing the good news! Praise God! Our theme this year is ‘Treasure’ so we will be exploring the most precious treasure, God’s amazing love. Please sign up on the sheet next to the notice board to join our team of helpers. There’s lots of jobs to do, but we’re pretty sure you’ll have fun too! Please see Clare. C, Fi. P or Janet. V for more details. We hope you can join us!
MUSIC ROOM, CHOIR MUSIC
As organist and past choirmaster, I have been tasked with sorting out the cupboards and removing everything in the way of music to make more space in what has become a store room, more so because the contents of the Minister’s vestry are now in the same room. The collection of musicals has now gone, but before disposing of other music, finding good use elsewhere if possible, I would like to invite any church members if they are interested to see the list and choose any music items they can make use of, within the next 2-3 weeks.
