MINISTER FROM SEPTEMBER 2019
We have been given a match with David Somerville as our Minister ( and Holcombe Brook’s) from next September 2019. David is currently a Minister in the Crosby Circuit and very much looking forward to joining us. He and his wife Alison will be living in the Seedfield manse on the Drive. - Praise God for answered prayer.
A WORD OF THANKS
to my family and friends at Seedfield. I have been totally overwhelmed by the cards and messages of support to myself and Janet during my recent transplant and (slow) recovery. I know that many people have been praying for me (4 churches that I know of) and the result was a successful operation. I am hoping to be back in circulation very soon.
In His Service,
Please ensure that ALL room bookings are made via Sherryl Harrison and confirmed if it is an event taking place.
All baptisms, weddings and funerals to be booked FIRST with Rev Sharon Read who will make the necessary arrangements.
Please ask the relevant person before borrowing and removing any equipment from the building.
After all meetings, events and services, please ensure everything is tidied away and clean. All room users should have recently received a similar letter regarding the care of the building.
Our last visits of the year to the local Care Homes to do a small church service, will be held this week.
WEDNESDAY 2pm at Burrswood followed by 2.45pm (approx) at Limefield Court.
THURSDAY 10.30am at Brookdale.
Please feel free to join us at one or all of the services. If you would like to come along or want more information contact Mary Smith, 07928 520337.
Whether you can join us or not please pray for Sharon who will be giving the talk.
OPEN DISCUSSION GROUP
"Why not come to discuss and share thoughts on the message given at the Sunday Service to help each other to discover and to
re-enforce what God is saying to us as individuals and as His church here at Seedfield? A group of us are now meeting on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month in the Seedfield Room at 2.00p.m. for about an hour to do just that. You are most welcome to join with us."
ACTION FOR CHILDREN
I shall be collecting the Action For Children lanterns for the first 3 weeks in December. Please can you bring them in to either hand over to me personally or leave them on the shelf at back of the church. If anyone would like to start collecting then please see me, Roseanne and I will arrange to bring a lantern for you.
Many thanks, Roseanne

REQUEST FOR FINANCIAL SUPPORT FROM JULIUS NDHALA
During the last year we have received three separate requests for funding from Julius to support different projects in Uganda. Church Council took advice from our treasurer and it was agreed that we could not keep providing support of this kind from Church funds. However, if someone would like to co-ordinate fund raising events for these requests then we could see up a separate fund to send money to Julius. If you feel called to this, then please see Paul Vipond or Brian Sharples.
CHRISTIAN STALL ON BURY MARKET
Just to draw your attention to a new venture which will be opening on 10th November on the market. A family of Syrian refugee Christians are launching their own business selling Arabic food. There is further information on the notice board so let’s support this family who have managed to get away from the horrors that are continuing in Syria. And if you have never tried Arabic food then now is the time to get to know the family and the tastes they will be offering.
